Microsoft Paying Developers $100 to Publish Windows Apps

Excerpt: This week, Microsoft announced that developers who publish apps on the Windows Store and/or Windows Phone Store can claim $100 for each published app (up to a total of 10 on each store, totaling up to $2000 per developer). In a bid to gain more interest from app developers who are increasingly focusing on Android and iPhone apps, this is a tactic that Microsoft hopes will draw up more quality apps (the deal is applicable to the first 10,000 apps submitted) for their stores which are struggling to compete with the larger ‘duopoly’ of Google Play and Apple App Store.
