# Welcoming Theneo as the API Evangelist Documentation Partner

**Canonical:** https://apievangelist.com/2025/03/03/welcoming-theneo-as-the-api-evangelist-documentation-partner/

I wanted to give a great big shout out to our newest partner [Theneo](https://bit.ly/41n9vPS). I only recently met the leadership of Theneo, but have been spending time over the last couple of weeks getting to know what they offer to the space. I have to admit that when Theneo first reached out last fall I didn’t respond to their initial emails because I had dismissed them as similar to the other AI-powered tools flooding my inbox. But Theneo was persistent and reached out again this year, so I made sure to carve out the time to sign-up and explore some more. After sign-up and a little exploration I uploaded the OpenAPI one of my APIs, and here is what stood out to me.

- **Modern API Documentation** - Theneo provides very clean, professional, and modern API documentation.
- **Specification-Driven** - They built on top of OpenAPI, Postman, and understand the importance of specs.
- **Real-World Integrations** - Common integrations into GitHut, VSCode, Postman and others out of the box.
- **Address Top Pain Points** - Augmenting docs with access control, SEO, change log, and versioning.
- **Sensible Artificial Intelligence** - Using AI in similar ways I do for enrichment and enhancement of docs.
- **GitHub Investment** - They have interesting and usable open-source doc, CLI, SDK, and governance tools.

Theneo passed my test for something I would recommend to my customers who are looking fora modern API documentation solutions. Theneo’s tag line to produce Stripe-like API documentation, as well as their speaking to the common pain points around producing and managing API documentation, combined with their respect of API specifications and open-source all helped them stand out on a noisy landscape as something I would recommend. Their sensible use of API alleviated many of the concerns I have with other API service providers right now.

This blog post is not a requirement of sponorship of API Evangelist, but I am impressed with their approach and felt they were worthy of writing a glowing introduction. [I am thankful to have Theneo on board as the documentation partner for API Evangelist](https://bit.ly/41n9vPS), and looking forward to riding along for their journey—who knows where things might go. Thanks Theneo!!
