Skype is a software application that allows users to make voice calls over the Internet. Calls to other users within the Skype service are free, while calls to both land-line and mobile phones can be made for a fee.
Skype provides a Public API that uses a text-based protocol delivered in package that only run on Windows, Linux, and Mac and a command line implementation. With the Skype API you can read / write all the functionality available in the Skype application.
