Terms of Service

These terms of service ("Terms") govern your use of the websites, content, data, APIs, MCP servers, and other services operated by API Evangelist LLC ("API Evangelist", "we", "us") — including apievangelist.com, its subdomain properties, and related developer services. By accessing or using any of these properties you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
The services
API Evangelist publishes research, analysis, newsletters, white papers, directories, ratings, and developer tooling covering the technology, business, policies, and people of APIs. Some services are free to use; others — such as paid white papers, subscriptions, or PRO API plans — require payment. We may add, change, or retire services at any time.
Content and intellectual property
Unless otherwise noted, the content published on API Evangelist properties — including writing, research, images, and data — is owned by API Evangelist LLC. You are welcome to quote, excerpt, and link to our content with attribution. Republishing substantial portions of our content, or presenting it as your own, requires prior written permission. Third-party names, logos, and trademarks referenced on our properties belong to their respective owners, and their appearance does not imply endorsement in either direction.
APIs, data, and machine-readable services
Where we provide APIs, feeds, MCP servers, or bulk data, you agree to use them within any published rate limits and plan tiers, to not misrepresent your identity or the origin of requests, and to not use them to build a service that substantially replicates an API Evangelist property. API keys and account credentials are yours to safeguard; activity under your credentials is your responsibility.
Purchases
Paid products and subscriptions are billed through our payment providers at the prices shown at the time of purchase. Digital goods such as white papers are delivered electronically. If something goes wrong with a purchase, contact us and we will make it right — including refunding purchases that did not deliver what was described.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the services to break the law, to attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or data, to disrupt the operation of the services, or to harvest information about other users. We may suspend or terminate access for use that violates these Terms.
Ratings and editorial independence
Ratings, rankings, reviews, and analysis published by API Evangelist are editorial opinions derived from published, verifiable artifacts. They are provided for information purposes and are not professional, financial, or legal advice. There is no paid placement in our ratings.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, API Evangelist LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the services, and our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date above reflects the latest revision, and continued use of the services after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
