I had a really energizing webinar with Nordic APIs last week, hosted by Bill Doerrfeld, and with Lorna Jane Mitchell, Kevin Swiber, and myself in attendance. The questions were good, the conversations were great, and the feedback loop via chat was lively and entertaining. It was suggested that we try to do something in a recurring way to tap into the energy, and I am always game to try new variations of old tactics to se if we can make entirely new human connections in this moment.
To help drive I am scheduling a 1 hour webinar every Thursday at 10:00 AM West Coast US, 1:00 PM East Coast US, and 7:00 PM Paris, France time. I want to catch the west coast, but also not make it inaccessible to the European participants. We can iterate over time, but I figured we’d start with a recurring weekly schedule at the same time, trying to make as inclusive as we possibly can, and see who shows up to talk over the weeks, and then we can shift the schedule if we need to, or add slots.
I am big on low production these days, so I’m just using zoom Webinar, and I have invited Kevin Swiber to come talk with me about MCP and A2A for the first one, building on Kevin’s great blog post on the subject. I have a lot of history working and talking with Kevin, and I know they can drive some engaging conversation on some very relevant topics. However, I invite attendees to bring topics, and I am even willing to pull attendees in as panelists during the conversation, and make it a community thing in the moment, whenever it makes sense.
The webinar will require registration, primarily to keep amongst a known audience and keep the stalkers at bay. I am launching this under the API Evangelist brand because I want to encourage Naftiko competitors to join in on the conversation, but I reserve the right to use any of the clips and topics for Naftiko social media, podcast, and other storytelling. I am building a startup these days, but it is a startup with an open-source core, and building upon the values I’ve championed as the API Evangelist.
Feel free to email me at [email protected] with topic ideas anytime, or request to be a panelist. I am not guaranteeing I’ll accept every guest and topic, but open to hearing from you. You can attend the webinar, and join in one time, or keep coming back as you wish. I am looking to keep the topics relevant to what is going on each week, and the conversation flexible enough that each one could go anywhere based upon panelists and the feedback loop from attendees, so I look forward to having you there.
